hi,

i've been trying to design a stereo panning pedal with one guitar input that outputs to two amps. but i'm having problems with getting the guitar signal to actually go to both amps.

after searching the internet for solutions, i found that the signal paths that i'm using are surprisingly similar to that of the tremulus lune/panneur (using two tl072's). i'm using a cd40106 for the lfo's.

i thought that since each path has a buffer stage at the inputs, the signal strength in each channel would be equal. i'm just wiring the input jack directly to the inputs of both channels. it seems like you can do this with the panneur. what am i doing wrong?

i'm not using a 9v regulator (like i see in the tremulus/panneur schematic)...is that the problem? am i grounding the output jacks incorrectly (right now they are both wired to the same ground on the circuit)?

also, what does the regulator do in the tremulus lune?

thanks.

Hey... sure, since the panneur has buffers on the input, you can just connect the two inputs of the two buffers together, and run a signal into it, taking two signals out.

the regulator just keeps the supply voltage at a steady level, that won't effect the ability of an opamp to buffer/split a signal.

As for grounding, just make sure every jack is grounded to a common point, which is also the ground of the pcb and the power supply. You also can use a metal box instead of wires to ground the jacks if they happen to have metal shields as well...
