How about a valve based Triwave that is designed more like a traditional monosynth than a theremin (which it kinda currently is, though without antenna)? This would involve the addition of a VCF and VCA, though I doubt that these additions would be too difficult to manufacture. Also some opto-distortion/waveshaping would be very cool. I believe that all of this could be achieved without compromising the purpose of the triwave (i.e. a noisy drone box), rather, these additions could enhance the scope of the triwave's functioning. Also, though it may be against the design philosophy of the commonsound collective, have DCOs been considered? These would add some stability and once again allow for greater scope in sound texture. Finally, how about a twisted filterbox to rival the Sherman Filterbank? If anyone can do it I think you guys are the logical choice. Keep up the good work.
