I got some problems with my noise swash.

1. First off. The volume pot. I doesn't effect the volume. when it's turned all the way to the left it is the same volume as all the way to the right. only when you slightly turn it to from bottom left towards right the volume lowers and then rises to full at middle position.
the volume pot do effect the sound of the self oscilation. Is that correct? it's not the volume it is effecting but the oscilation though!?
The problem that I can see right now lug 3 is empty. should I connect it to ground maybe? This might be a stupid question but I'm not an experienced builder so...

1 b. I got this instruction (see below) from another builder about volume pots. I just want a quick comment to it cuz it confuses me a lot. . It doesn't reply to the noise swash wiring (or other pedals from commonsound) does it.
--------------
As with any volume pot, lug 3 connects to the circuit output, lug 2 connects to the output jack (or bypass switch), and lug 1 connects to ground.
----------------

2. another problem is the self osc pot. the noise swash oscilate all the time. even when the switch of the pot is in its turned off position. Although it oscilate differently when a plug is in the injack (even thought there are no sound from the soundsource) and when its not. Is this a simple wrongwiring maybe? I have studied the wiring on the pot and there doesn't seem to be any problems with the wiring on the pot.

the volume pot probably is 100k and needs to be a 10k....
If its already a 10k, try 1k..
Its not really volume, its actually a gain control so it doesnt get wired with a pin to ground.
As with every other control on the noise swash, volume will effect the self-oscillation. everything's connected...

As for constant self-oscillation, there could be a wiring problem, or it could just be a really hot swash. you can try replacing the TL062D with another one, some of them come out of the factory as being really noisy. You also could try putting a 1000pF cap across the volume pot.
