I just bought an older Stereo Panneur (I did not build it myself, I am just trying to set it right). It was built in about 2003 so there are no gain knobs on the outside. I am just trying to have an reasonable output volume so that I can switch the effect on and off.
So I was adjusting those two trimpots on the inside and I noticed that the trimpot for the right channel can be adjusted to have a lot of gain (like two times louder than the bypass signal) while the left one goes from totally silent to about 2 times quieter than the bypass signal.
Does that necessarily mean that the trimpots have different values? What would be the easiest way to give the same range to both trimpots (higher gain would be perfect).

IT could be the trimpots, or more likely it's the photocells and/or the angle of the LED shining on the photocell. Play with those a bit and you should be able to get whatever volume range you want
