hey, just discovered the site-- dig it. cant wait to make a Phasuer. i use various delays and the RC-20 to loop synthed out fretless bass, violin, and beats. any of you weirdos working on a looper? im looking for one with a good 5 or so minutes, 5 saveable loops, and 5 one shots. my music calls for not only looping, but playing samples/loops with my feet a la: organ bass pedals. this sites dope. good work.

ahem.. like i said, don't hold your breath

Sound interesting! It would be cool to see something unique, or at least a looper that lends itself to innovative musical uses. The most innovative uses of a looper that I have heard have been by Andre
A lot of looper pedals are in the "Frippertronic" type of mode. La Fosse. He does the opposite of most looping guitarists I've heard - instead of build up soundscapes from long delay lines/loops, he uses a combination of very short loops to get an IDM-type sound. This page gives an idea:

Yeah, I really like Andre's stuff. But he had his soundscape period, too. I also like his glitchy work. Big inspiration.
I would definitely like a looper that was more designed for live manipulation insanity than live overdubbing. The Echoplex can do some cool things beyond the typical loop stuff, as evidenced by Andre's glitchy stuff, but I'd like something more akin to a granular looper like Granulab to add to my setup.

sounds cool. is it analog or digital? im guessing digital if your talking about minutes of loop time.
you might want to check out the Z Vex Lo Fi Loop Junky, all analog looper with vibrato, sounds really cool. http://www.zvex.com/junky.html
I use a Line 6 echo pro for looping. it doesnt have any of the 'advanced' features like an echoplex but its a quarter the cost and it has loads of nice delays on as well.
There is only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who dont.

Really looking forward to seeing it. Is it based on ISD chips or DSP, or....?
