Hello there.
I just finished my first Noise Swash, built on the DIY board.
I plugged it in and there was only coming a weak signal through. When I touch the output-jack with my hand the volume level increases dramatically. I guess it has something to do with the ground wiring.
Any tips on troubleshooting? Thanks in advance.

is your output jack grounded? input jack? box? board? all these things need to be grounded together. just connect wires from the ground on each of these to a common point, which could be the power jack, or the input jack ground if there's no power jack.

Thanks for the reply.

I switched some of the cables and I think it is working now.
Can it be that it needs some time to warm up a little? When I switched it on for the first time it did not do anything, I switched some of the knobs and controls and then it began to live. I switched it off and on again and it worked from the start.

yes it needs a few seconds to warm up, the 10uF next to the TL062D needs to charge up. You can replace that with a 1uF or 0.1uF and it will charge faster, but it's your call whether or not that sounds better. I prefer the wait time since it usually gives more full-spectrum noise, and the smaller caps give more high end noise. It's an artistic decision though.
The tame/trouble mod uses this technique since it kills power to the board on bypass, it therefore requires a faster warm-up time when coming out of bypass.
